Sara (who unfortunately works there) has to be the worst service Agent I ever had to interact with. She was exceptionally rude and in the end we decided to go to Sixt next door for our rental car. God what a horrible service experience, maybe sleep a bit more and learn to treat customers better.

I was hesitant about renting here after reading the reviews, but my experience was truly reassuring. The staff were kind and polite. Many of them offered assistance in both English and French— I spoke primarily French, but I trust their ability to assist English speaking travellers. Upon returning the vehicle, I discovered a small scratch which I had not remarked prior to the return process. The staff reassured me before even measuring, reminding me that these things happen. I had purchased insurance with them, and the damage was covered— but even before I shared this fact, the agent processing my return was kind and understanding. My deposit on the vehicle was returned in full. The return process took less than fifteen minutes. I am certain of this because I was running late for my train. After I left the garage, an agent followed me all the way to the station to deliver an item I had forgotten in the vehicle. The garage is easy to access from the station. The staff at the station provided a map after I completed pickup documentation, marked clearly in both French and English. Overall, I am truly thankful for the assistance I received from this company. Merci à vous, agents d'Enterprise!

Normally you rent a car, review it for damage, choose to get insurance or not and go. But not at this place. We rented the car and after choosing insurance the guy handling the rental stopped looking over the car and rented it to us. I took pictures of any scratched or damages. As others mentioned, when we returned the car the car was reviewed with a fine tooth comb. Remember we opted for the insurance, but the agent still took time to point out the most minute items and how we were so lucky we got the insurance. When I say minute, I mean it. A tiny spec on the windshield, a 16th of an inch paint mark. We will never rent from them again and suggest Enterprise ends their association with them. We returned the car two days early and had trouble here as well. We only received a nominal credit instead of the two days we were due. We contacted Enterprise and we told we will have to deal with the European division and that they will be in touch with us. As of today we still haven't heard from them. Just go elsewhere, I've rented cars a hundred time and never had to deal with this level of difficulty.

Read many reviews about bogus damage claims from cars received here, hoped they were not true (as a longtime Enterprise customer), then got a $1500 charge for 2 miniscule scratches barely visible from photos that I certainly didn't cause. Truly unbelievable - stay away from this place if you can. This seems to be a common complaint, and I hope Enterprise steps in to correct the performance of this location.

The car was good, but be very careful if upon pickup, they give you the keys with no walk around and no documentation on defects. Upon return, they spent five minutes going over the car in great detail looking for damage. They would accept photos proving one prior fault, but wouldn’t take my word when I didn’t have a photo record of a second more minor problem.

This was the best car rental experience I ever had. Upon pickup the agent (cant remember her name) went above and beyond to set our GPS and just could not have been more helpful. Upon returning to this location which is difficult to locate and not on the GPS and our Google Maps was not working we had to call the office. They answered right away and the agent (Ditmer) then gave us verbal instructions. He stayed on the phone with until we got close and he was literally viewing us from the edge of the parking structure and guiding us the whole way. Never have I had a rental car company try so hard and it was very much appreciated. To Enterprise - please recognize Ditmer for this great service.

September 24th I went to Enterprise at Gare Bordeaux Saint-Jean to pick up a car from a reservation made through Auto Europe. I arrive at the place to be promptly attended to by a rude employee, completely committed to being as useless as possible, who denied me the possibility of picking up the car, as the reservation was in my name, but made with my girlfriend's credit card...who was right there beside me, with said credit card in hand. Having no credit card of my own, I made myself available to pay with my debit card whatever was necessary, proposed to register her as a second driver, even suggested making a new reservation, but nothing. Nothing made that grumpy incompetent change his stance and say anything other than the word "no", forcing me to call Auto Europe to change the reservation. While calling, he got up and changed with another colleague...just as rude as he was. On the phone, Auto Europe claimed that they couldn't do anything, namely not being able to change the reservation because the 48 hours period was gone (always the same excuses, right?). So they asked me to ask this new employee if they could email him the driver change, with all being done properly. Again committed to being useless and rude, we kept hearing "no" after "no", until we gave up and got a new reservation at Avis - where, by the way, we were treated fantastically, paying less and getting a much better car. Enterprise is not entirely responsible for everything that happened - Auto Europe failed a lot too - but it was the perfect example of a company that has no interest in helping its customers, as it knows perfectly well that they have already paid in advance. The problem is no longer theirs and becomes mine, as I am in the middle of Bordeaux, without a car that I need urgently...that's why I booked it. Of course I filed a complaint and of course now comes the response from Enterprise saying they won't return a cent. So I paid €130 to hear two uneducated parrots say "no" non-stop. Don't make the same mistake I did and opt for a serious company that really wants to know about you as a customer. I have never felt so mistreated, hands tied and completely ignored. Won't even say...stolen. (Sorry, just said it) Shame on you.

The worst rental car experience so far. They will scam you at every chance. They claimed damage on the car at return for VERY minor markings that could have not been possible to detect before handover. Needless to say that I didn't have any accidents while driving and I have my whole company to prove it. They have not even returned the credit card deposit, although it has been several weeks. Choose a different company!
