Hi there, we have been trying to contact someone at the office to coordinate an alternate drop off time but can’t get through to anyone over the phone or email. We picked up a car last week on Wednesday that was supposed to be an automatic petrol vehicle but they informed us this was no longer available until 4pm (we had organised pick up at 10am) so had to take a fully electric car. We have had endless issues with charging this car up and will need to drop it off later than 10am to ensure it is charged and ready for drop off. Can someone please contact me to help coordinate this issue ASAP.

Be careful when booking a car here! The man who served me said the car had no marks and if I was to return it with any marks it I would cost minimum 2500 euro. I took a quick video of the car and drove off to pick up my mother-in-law from the train station who noticed a sizeable dent on the side of the car. We drove straight back to Enterprise and showed them the dent, to which the guy looked shocked, until I told him I had a video to prove that it was already there. He then miraculously found the record of the dent on the car’s inventory and said it was no problem. We’re so relieved we went back but it was extra time and stress that we could have avoided. Enterprise itself as a company seem great - they were really helpful over the phone when we needed to change our drop off location!

Absolute joke of an Enterprise location. We reserved a car months in advance to be picked up at their Gare St Charles location through Expedia. Entered my wife’s credit card information, booking was all good to go. We arrive, check in, and the lady at the counter gets the car ready for us, letting us load our luggage into the vehicle before making us sign the contract and pay. Come time to pay, we’re told the credit card must be in the name of the renter (never had this problem before, even before we were married) and that there’s nothing they can do. Can’t cancel the reservation and rebook, my Canadian debit card isn’t recognized by their machine, can’t pay cash, can’t use a credit card issued by a virtual bank, etc… nothing they can do. We asked to speak to a supervisor and the lady just disappeared and came back with some bs alternative. We had to unload our luggage while my wife was almost in tears and lug it back up to the Gare to book last minute with Europcar where we were forced to be violated price-wise. Even the employee at Europcar told us they get many desperate people who got screwed over by Enterprise. Look elsewhere if you want to rent a car in Marseille. You’re better off renting an electric scooter.

Booked a Standard Car (Peugeot Saloon or similar). Got a free upgrade to a compact S.U.V (brand new Peugeot 2008) because a saloon wasn't available. Staff are always busy so expect slight delays. Staff were nice, pretty informative. Pros: Very New and Diverse fleet of vehicles, staff seem experienced and can speak french and english Cons: Cars can sometimes be quite dusty and not properly washed, quite tight in the vehicle area.

I had ordered two separate reservations under my name for two cars, both we were hoping to pick up and have different drivers as the primary on them. However when we showed up we were told that our second reservation had been cancelled. They believed that it was a mistake so it was canceled from the system without notifying us. We were lucky when the woman behind the counter, Imane, let us know that there were other automatic cars available. There was a bit of a price difference, but we were in a hurry and did not want to push our luck that day. This would have been a much more stressful experience if it wasn’t for Imane being patient, communicative and resourceful to ensure we had what we needed. Thank you Imane!

Be very cautious – do NOT hand over the keys without proper check-out! I rented a car from Enterprise Marseille Airport and returned it to their Marseille Saint-Charles branch. When I dropped it off, the staff were very busy and simply asked me to hand over the keys, saying they'd call me if there were any issues. No one called – instead, I received an email claiming I damaged the car and then an invoice charging me excess for damage that was already recorded in the rental agreement when I picked the car up. Thankfully, I have photos, videos, and the documentation to prove it. I've tried to call and email both branches multiple times, but have received no response. I’m now disputing the charge of €1700 through my credit card insurance. ⚠️ My advice: - Do NOT leave without a signed return confirmation - Take plenty of photos and videos when picking up and dropping off the vehicle

This was the worst car rental experience of my life. I’m an Enterprise Plus member and have used the company for over 20 years. My hotel sent me to the area where all the other car rentals are. Thus invoked dragging my luggage and my dog down a hill, across the street, up a hill, through the train station and discovering there are no signs to direct you in the station. After being sent in the wrong direction twice, a man in the parking lot took me upstairs and asked a train station employee. Schlepping everything about 6 blocks over rough sidewalks and up a ramp, I discover averyone but Enterprise is at the location. I map it, but it’s very confusing as there are 3 different levels and lots of stairs. I go back to the station, I overhear a couple speaking English. They were about to go to the same place I had just been. We worked together to find the location- she had a hand free to look at the map while walking. After going back downstairs, up a hill, across the street, and down another hill, we found it, The nice couple were given their vehicle and I was told I was too late even though I’d checked in online, tried to call 3 times to see were in the world they were and no one answered, and was sent in the wrong direction 3 times. This reservation was for 28 days and was a very specific car that I know works well for me because I have a back issue and will be driving it for a month. She told me there was nothing she could do and they couldn’t offer me another car for 3 more days. Where is the car that was sitting here waiting for me 2 hours ago? Apparently they just give it away without any way to contact them to let them know you can’t find them, no directions or instructions as to their location when you make the reservation and no attempt to contact you to see if you are coming. To their credit, I was given a ride - even though I tried to explain that the car he was going to drive me in was not good for my back- to another rental place that had BMWs. I had already explained that BMWs are not good for my back either- which is why I reserved the Mercedes. So now I’m sitting here in a little BMW suv that I know will only make me be in so much pain for the week I’m here that I’m considering returning it and hiring a car to take me to my AirBnB an hour and a half away. This is probably the worst travel experience I’ve had in 53 years of traveling and living all over the world.
